Industrial Training Institute (ITI) exam process and results

Exam process

The ITI examination is typically divided into two main parts: practical and theoretical (Computer-Based Test or CBT).

Practical Exam: Assesses the hands-on skills related to the chosen trade.
CBT Exam: A one-hour paper with 75 questions totaling 150 marks, covering subjects like Trade Theory, Workshop Calculation & Science, Engineering Drawing, and Employability Skills.

Practical Exams: Scheduled to be held between June To August in a year.
Admit Cards for Practical: Expected to be available for download online by respective collage.
CBT Exams: Scheduled after pratical sometime CBT exam held before practical.

Result checking

ITI results are often released on the official websites of the respective states and on the NCVT MIS portal.
Results for the examinations are currently available on the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) portal.
To access your result, you'll need to enter your Permanent Registration Number (PRN) or Roll Number and Date of Birth.
The result will likely be available as a downloadable PDF marksheet.

Details on the marksheet

The ITI marksheet includes information such as the candidate's name, exam session, subjects and marks obtained, and the qualifying status.

Important points

Hard copies of the results are generally not sent; therefore, it's crucial to download and save the digital marksheet for future use.
The results are based on performance in both the practical and CBT examinations.
A merit list might be prepared for admissions to further courses or apprenticeships.
